Basically, I don't think U have done the wrong thing but as couples I feel tt both of U should have your own freedom and friends. No doubt your bf treat his friends with more priority than U but as his gf sometimes U need to be understanding. U can voice out to him saying U would like to join him and meet his friends, I believe your bf won't b unhappy.
Actually I don't know what is the content of your letter to him but if he can reply to U in this manners, it seems tt he is very angry or upset with the content of the letter U have written to him.
Maybe U want to clear the air with him by telling what U means or just let this misunderstanding to carry on until he call U. The decision is yours to make.
