Write a short introduction of yourself, telling me what is in your mind an ideal job for you considering your interests and inclinations. Gve me a view into the workings of your mind; show me what kind of person you are, how you see the world, what values you have. I’m NOT asking for personal revelations, but information about you that would help me evaluate to see if you are the right person for the job.

I really want to nail the job, how do I go about this? (isn't it contradicting when being asked to tell about myself but NOT talk about personal revelations?)

Only you know the answer to this. It needs to reflect you, not someone else. Sit down and start brainstorming ideas then form those ideas into sentences and then put them into paragraphs.

Short means short. Keep it to half a page. Don't spend any time on your birth or early childhood unless something significant happened. Consider this:

If you attended or graduated from college state that and what you studied or enjoyed. Highlight some of your work experience or what aspects of the jobs you enjoyed. (answers some of the workings of your mind question)

I moved to (where you live) when I was (age) because... (addresses part of the values question)

Consider including any volunteer work, clubs, hobbies or activities you enjoy unless they seem highly inappropriate. (This answers the what kind of a person are you question)

Give some reasons why you are interested in working for this company and why the position is of interest to you. Why do you think it would be a good match? Don't focus on salary but on job responsibility and technical aspects of the job. (answers part of the how you see the world question)

Your values will be evident as a result of the above information.

Good Luck,

This employer is giving you a chance to sell yourself. Do what they ask and keep it short, but here is what I would highlight, based on what you said:

1. You always wanted to work in this field/profession.

2. Your family has supported your goals and your dreams.

3. You have had many positive role models both in your family and outside of it, and one of your goals is to give back to others less fortunate than yourself.

4. You enjoyed college/educational experience, you consider learning to be lifelong, and you look forward to the career adventures ahead of you with this employer.

I would keep it to two paragraphs, three or four sentences each. If you have done any volunteer work, mention that as well. I have learned that volunteer work will make you stand out from all other job applicants, even the ones with more experience. My volunteer activities landed me my last job (my dream job), on the spot.

Good luck!

Writer: Moses Place Written: Wilderness Writing Completed: c. 1473 B.C.E. Time Covered: Over 140 years between 1657 and 1473 B.C.E. ONE of the oldest books of the inspired Scriptures! A book that is held in the highest esteem and that is often quoted, yet one that is little understood by mankind. Why was this book written, and what value does it have for us today? The answer is indicated in the meaning of Job’s name: “Object of Hostility.” Yes, this book takes up two important questions: Why do the innocent suffer? Why does God permit wickedness in the earth? We have the record of Job’s suffering and his great endurance for our consideration in answering these questions. It has all been written down, just as Job requested.—Job 19:23, 24. That the book of Job is authentic and inspired is also proved in that the ancient Hebrews always included it in their Bible canon, a fact remarkable in that Job himself was not an Israelite. In addition to the references by Ezekiel and James, the book is quoted by the apostle Paul. (Job 5:13; 1 Cor. 3:19) Powerful proof of the book’s inspiration is given in its amazing harmony with the proved facts of the sciences. How could it be known that God is “hanging the earth upon nothing,” when the ancients had the most fantastic notions as to how the earth was supported? (Job 26:7) One view held in ancient times was that the earth was supported by elephants standing on a large sea turtle. Why does the book of Job not reflect such nonsense? Obviously because the Creator supplied the truth by inspiration. The many other descriptions of the earth and its wonders and of the wild animals and birds in their natural habitats are so accurate that only God could be the Author and Inspirer of the book of Job.

oh just say the truth!

say:

i wouldn't be here applying for this damn job if i had won the lottery! i'd rather be going on vacations, enjoying the sunshine, instead of spending 8 hours or so of my day in an office with bad air circulation and surrounded by trolls full of self-importance.

the end.
