AOHELL is pretty bad. It is only good if you have Dialup because it does give you an "all in one package." However if you have high speed you are basically paying for nothing becuase instant messenger is free and aol mail is free. Internet broweser are free also. AOL is a memory hog that takes up a lot of memory when being run by running many differnet unneccesary programs. Use at your own risk but dont.

I don't use AOL or AIM, but I cantell you offhand that this is a rumor which isn't true.

All ISPs get infected regularly by bugs that hackers kep using. That's why you have Anti-Virus.

If you want to be safe, [a] never open any e-mail, however enticing it seems, from people you don't know [b] do not entertain pms [Messenger Personal Messages] from people you don't know well.

If you follow this simple rule, you'll have no problems whichever is the service you use.

Allthe best.

Cheers.

Ok I used to work for AOL and all I would receive were calls about how the customer's computer was fine until they installed AOL. AOL doesn't work.

AOL is the worst internet provider because of the viruses you get. My computer was a mess until I switched to a local cable DSL provider, and have my own spyware "spy sweeper", I have had no problems since.

Aol is usually popular for the messager.. I used to have it. Not any more because it made my computer very slow. Even the messager alone makes ur com slow. Aol is one big scammer. Even after we stopped using it, and we talked to them about cancelling our account, aol compony still sent us checks.
