Babe Ruth hit 659 with the Yankees, Mickey Mantle is second with 534. (Mantle played his entire career with the Yankees. Babe Ruth started with the Boston Red Sox and played part of his last season with the Boston Braves.)

Hmm, pretty sure that is Babe Ruth...I could be wrong because he also played with the Red Sox...if it isn't the Babe, it's Lou Gerhig.
