well im gonna work on the going in over my head with popularity last year(6th grade) i got carried away about being popular because i was but i dont like crowd at all its better to be urself which is what im going to do. but also i just want to know like if there is say a girl or a guy i dont care which is like sitting alone is it to much to like say hi and my name and kinda start a convo with them? need advise!!

To be honest, if you want to be popular, then the thing to do is to talk to people, especially ones who are sitting alone. The best way to be well liked in junior high school is to be kind to everybody. Dont limit your possibilities. Make friends with people from all scenes, that way you will get to know a lot of different kind of people, and they will get to know you to! When I was in jr high/high school, I found that the best way to make friends is to just ask your classmates about homework..like "oh was that assignment easy for you last night?" or "so how did you do on that paper we turned in" etc.... that way you can start up conversation!

okay, if the person looks kind and not like a gang member then you could go over there and say hi and introduce yourself, maybe talk about that day or the weather. It's okay to make some friends, but if you don't want a whole crowd around you, then don't make friends that are snobs or jerks.

I just passed out of the 7grade it was basicly nothing it was just like 6 grade.I was my self i didnt fake to be something that i wasnt.If u see some one that dont have any friends u should sit down and talk to them.I hope that my advise helpd u!

no its not im going into the 7th grade to and I tried that when there was a new girl she was alone at lunch so i walked over and said hi my name is blah blah blah im in your math class and i noticed you were sitting alone so i was wondering if you wanted to sit at my table and meet some more friends and she ended up being a nice girl and she became one of my top friends!

So glad you figured that out. Being yourself is so much better then trying to be someone you're not. =]
If there is someone sitting alone, it's definitely ok to talk to them! Just be polite and say:
"Hi my name is....." and "may I sit here?"
I went to a new school and when people did that they became my good friends after. =]
And gobears you're a jerk. Don't worry about him.

you are way to young to be like avoiding people you should try to be friends wit ever one ... if you see some one sittin alone jus walk up to them and be like .....
Hi my name is ........
may i sit here?
then jus start a convo wit them and ask questions like...
do u like sports,movies,bikes,cars,school...etc..
then jus make other stuff up .. then tell them some things about yourself...
dont try to be someone your not tho
