Well, it would be easier to answer if i knew what kind of skin you had. I think your problem is that you tried a lot of products but didn't stick with them for long enough. Be patient. Stick with each product for at least two weeks. If your skin is oily and not sensitive at all (like mine), use a clean towel and rub it in circles all over your face to exfoliate. Then rinse your whole face in warm water. Use dishwasher soap to wash (yes it sounds stupid, but it does work), and splash your face in cold water. And most importantly Clean and Clear Daily Pore Toner is your best friend!!!!! Apply it after washing, before going to bed, when you come home, before you leave the house. If your skin is dry/sensitive, replace the toner with Clean & Clear Clarifying Toner, and replace the dishwasher soap with milk/honey (what my friend does). If your skin is combination, replace the dishwasher soap with a cleanser from the store (like Neutrogena) that suits your skin (what my other friend does). Just use this as a basic guide. Mix and match, be creative, and use your brain. Be patient. You know your skin better than I do. If all else fails, visit your dermatologist.

Proactive has worked great for me. When I started initially I did not follow instructions exactly. You must use the cleanser x2 a day, for 2 minutes total. Then wait for 2 min, then use the toner. Let skin dry for 2 minutes, then apply the daily moisturizer. If I am going out in the sun I use the sunscreen, waiting in between applications. Then you must use the mask 2-3 times a week. Leave on for 5-10 minutes. I tell you your skin will be clear, if you just want the beginning 3 step it is about $20. Good luck. Stick with it, my skin is so clear and pretty now.

You may be allergic to salicylic acid, which is in both of those products. It makes most people clear up. It makes me break out. So I have to put together my own system. What works well for me is the following: Wash twice a day with a scrubbing cleanser WITHOUT salicylic acid, preferable a gentle one. Use witch hazel astringent after the wash on your face. What really helps is to take 50 mg of ZINC (not in a multivitamin, but alone.) per day. Take it on a FULL stomach, at least 3 hours apart from vitamin C. Also helps to take copper, 2-4 mg. With the above steps, if you do it EVERY DAY, you will clear up in about 2 weeks.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Give the Acne free a little more time.It takes several weeks for any acne medication to work. Also Ask a doctor about going on a birth control pill. It regulates your periods and your acne will disappear.

your using too many products at once. mixing benzoyl peroxide(proactiv) and salicylic acid(neutrogena) is a big NO-NO. It will only make you have more breakouts. Check your labels of what you use and switch what you use every 6months to a year. So if benzoyl peroxide isn't working for you right now switch to salicylic acid for a while, but do not use them at the same time.
