Does anybody remember way back in the 80's where you had this little black pellet the size of an extra strength Tylenol. you take a match or a lighter to it & it heated up & grew into a black ashy kind of snake that was about a yard long? (i no it sounds wierd, but i had them way back in the mid 80's)

Magic Black Snakes.

They're available at many on-line retailers that sell fireworks. I've provided some links below. Also, you can get "Glow Worms" and "Colored Snakes," too. Yippee!

Have fun!

You are showing your age (and mine). I remember those things and was really surprised when my cousin had them this year for the 4th. These ones were called "Black Mamba", but I've also seen them just called "Smoking Snakes"

they are called snakes; you can get them at fireworks stands, and they come in the following varieties: regular black, magic colors, glow-worms, and rainbow snakes. i bought some for 4th of july this past month.

Yeah, they sell them every year at Independence Day. They are called "Glow Worms" often now. Just go to a fireworks store, and ask.

Lots of fun, but they mess up your driveway!
