to some people it's about the points its minus 5 to ask plus three to pick the best answer so there fore you give away two points to ask leaving your overall score poorly the More questions that you ask. The more best answers or thumbs up you get the better your rating. So it is a matter of do you seek help, knowledge and communication or points. :-)
I have asked many questions because there is no reward for points only rewards if you get good aswers.

I've only asked one question, because it was on a legal matter which was confusing to me at first. The best answer only pointed me in the right direction, after which I found the information I needed on my own. I'm pretty good at finding things out on my own, so I don't usually need assistance getting an answer. However, for that question, I did not want to leave any stone unturned because it was a legal issue and the only way I knew of to get the answer was to spend a lot of money. Maybe one day I'll ask some other questions, but they'll have to be good ones. Have a nice day!

I will start to type a question,
and questions like it will pop up
underneath, so I just look up
the answer there.
I'd feel silly to keep going with
the question.
I have been trying to think of a good
question to ask, one that won't get
mostly dumb answers.

I guess there are several people in here who don't ask questions, because asking costs 5 points. So they just answer and vote, to accumulate points.

Because it is not hard to find out answers for yourself. You have to admit, a lot of the questions on here are pathetic, and simple to find an answer for if they would just Google it.

I asked quite a few questions but I know a lot of people haven't asked a question because they are only in this for the points.

it's more fun to answer the questions of others.
