I think we see blue men singing the whites as the "Blue Meanies" in "Yellow Submarine."

Yes. There's an old Bonzo Dog song "Can Blue men sing the Whites?" that kind of shows the pointlessness of the argument. There have been same great white blues singers (and guitarists) - Long John Baldry, Tam White, even early Rod Stewart had his moments. This takes nothing away from the great black blues singers - Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker and many many more.
