if the penny is made of steel then it is worth about 50cents... but if it was a copper alloy penny then its worth up to $82,500... good luck if you have a 1943 copper penny... there were only 40 copper ones made

If you go to Ebay.com and type in 1943 penny you'll find out that it's worth just that a penny.

Not very mushy because it is a Zinc-Coated Steel penny.

1943 is $0.25 in fine
and up to $2.00 in uncirculated.
