Anyway I answered somthing about hes not in the room because you said the ONLY things in the room was a bench and a light well I didnt get best answer. So mine must have been wrong. But this is the one that got best answer > he sees a saw
he cuts the bench in half
2 halfs make a whole
he climbs out.
Who is this correct could someone please explain?

He uses the light to "see" and since he sees he "saw" he saws the bench in half. 2 halves make a "hole" and he crawls through. its a play on words.

You may be wrong, maybe not, the question is confusingly constructed. If the man is stuck in the room, then the only thing(s) in the room aren't bench and light, the man is in the room too, which necessarily follows since he can't get out if he isn't in. Conversely, if the only thing(s) in the room are bench and light, then the man isn't in the room, stuck or otherwise, therefore he doesn't get out coz he already is out.

The presumably "correct" answer is wrong, or more accurately, impossible. Where is the saw that the man sees? The question does not provide a saw. Even if a saw were provided, it seems the answer is a bit of a cheat as it doesn't rely on lateral thinking (the key to all these sorts of puzzles) so much as it relies on a cheap pun (whole-hole).

This question is usually told not written as it puns on the word WHOLE to mean HOLE. The sounds make it more sensible. Don't worry about it. Go look for other more sensible questions.
