I have an assignment from my singing teacher and she told me to act "leprechaunish". She wanted me to rent "Finian's Rainbow", but I won't get it in time before my performance tomorrow night. I am singing a song about a guy in love. Do I jump and leap across the stage? Do I stoop low and leap? Help me, please. I'm running out of time!!

I know nothing of Finians rainbow, but I do know how a leprechaun behaves. My mother is Irish and I used to get a steady diet of Irish folk mythology.
A leprechaun will always have one shoe in his hand (by trade he is a cobbler)
He will always try to distract you out of finding the gold he has hidden (not necessarily at the end of a rainbow, rather, anywhere)
Even once/if you find the gold, he will try to trick you out of it.
If you find a leprechaun, do not stop looking at him, or he will disappear.
Contrary to popular belief, a leprechun wears no green. He wears:
red jacket, brown knee breeches, black buckle shoes, and he will be carrying one shoe.
So I guess a leprechaun would be sly, sneaky, evasive, shrewd, etc.
I don't know if that helps.....

I associate leprechauns with non-malicious mischief. They jump and cavort and do not, under any circumstances, chew Fruit Stripe gum with the Zebra on the pack and the different flavors and lick n' stick tattoos. Nope, nuh-uh, no way.
