The most annoying thing was: On my day off from my job (managing another theater in the same company) seeing a movie with my out of town friends (Pitch Black opening night). The projection bulb went out and the projectionist on duty didn't notice. The film keeps rolling but nothing shows on the screen. I calmed the audience down, and went tearing thru the 15 screen theater to the proj. booths, had to track down the manager and Projectionist, then run back to the theater to miss as little of the movie as possible. (In heels no less) A man in the back stands up and announces that he's "gonna stomp your short lazy *** for not doing your job, you white H*e" That guy was so lucky that I didn't have my box cutter on me at that point.

People who come in after the movie has started and sit right behind me and talk.
One of the worst experiences: It was at Godfather III. I'm a huge Al Pacino fan and couldn't wait to see the new Godfather film. The movie theater was packed. A guy and his date sat right beside me. It was obvious the girl had never seen ANY Godfather movie, and the guy was telling her who all the characters were, the plots of the other 2 Godfathers during the entire film. She also kept saying "what did he say", "why'd he do that", "what's he going to do next?" He had seen the movie before and was actually telling her what would happen!!... I learned a long time ago not to tell someone in a movie theater to shut up. So I had the movie ruined for me that night.

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
-Someone rocking in their chair the entire lenghth of the movie.
-Stupid people laughing at every little thing, even if it isn't in the least bit funny.
-Sitting by people who are smacking gum all the time.
-A huge family sitting right by me when the theater is empty.
-People sitting right by me when the theater is practically empty.
-When I was little and there was obviously a lot more than one space to sit, these tall people always sat right in front of me.
-People talking on their cell phones during the movie.
A good thing to do. If they smack gum, you fake it and they'll get annoyed and leave because they were being annoyed in the first place or move, even if it's during the movie. You're paying for it, you deserve the best.

Ever see the movie "Elf"?
Alright -- pretty funny, with all due respect. But two rows down from my friends and I sat this old man, who laughed every time Will Farrell...
opened his mouth
looked at another person
smiled
moved
blinked
breathed.
He must have been the Ultimate, Super-Honkin' Biggest Will Farrell Fan Of All Time -- or a very, very messed up little man.
We became obsessed (not with the movie), but whether or not the guy would finally have an asthma attack and DIE...

I agree, I always get a tall person in front of me. Or sit next to a couple making out --all movie long--, but by far my worst seems to be either the group of like eight 12 year olds who are out of control loud and obnoxious, or the stuck up preppy group that comes in and forget to turn their cell phone off, and get up every ten minutes for a bathroom break.

Lol. I'm in high school and a couple of weeks ago I was chewing bubble gum at the movies and everything was smooth-sailing until I accidentally popped the bubble really loudly. The lady sitting next to me snapped her head toward my direction and gave me a death-glare. I sat there petrified and genuinely scared that she was going to explode or something.

I hate when people kick the back of my seat. I also hate when you go to a movie and people are laughing at something that isn't even funny. I remember at a movie some girls were laughing at some guy with a French accent. Oh, and I can't stand when people bring really young children (like still a baby) to movies with them. If you can't find a sitter, postpone your movie date. Geez, people.

A bunch of noisome teens kept disrupting the movie. At first I said, "Shut up!" Then they did for a short time. When they started again, I got up, walked past them, gave them the evil eye and informed the management and had them ejected. Just to make sure they knew who did it, I stood there with my arms crossed over my chest and watched the ushers approach them and guide them out, while continuing to give them the evil eye.
