Do you consider colorguard a sport?

It's a lot harder than it looks...twirling a flag, baton, rifles, sabres, etc. with dancing is not what you consider easy...especially if your in core

it's a sport of the arts. i was in it myself. that stuff is not easy! doing run-throughs within the band, trying not to take people out....marching band/corps/guard...it is a sport. or it should be! it's just as difficult. football players may have two-a-days, but we have frickin' all days! and we have to breathe, spin things, remember counts, and march! and heck yeah for being able to do hair/makeup in the dark at 3 am on the way to contest!

If it's in competition with set of rules, then technically it would be a sport. Personally, I've never seen all that much involved with colorguard (high school anyway), the moves are really simple and it seems anyone could do it to me. The military drills with the weapons though would take alot of practice and discipline, I could respect that as a sport.

I would consider it an activity more than a sport. Although I am sure much coordination is involved.

yeah. because you have to practice a lot and really commit to it.
you have to be athletic and stuff.
i used to do mma. hand to hand combat. it was fun.
taking your opponent to the ground and punch his face in.
and doing submission moves. yeah.
