Why answer a question at all if your just going to make the person asking it feel dumb? I guess I'm trying to get people to pick me for best answer...is that not what everybody else is doing? What are you doing? Is it just for the 2 measley points?
PS this is in polls because I wasn't sure where else it fit =)

I personally try not to do that. The whole point is to give useful information that can help out the other person, not to make them feel bad. I'm always going for all 12 points. I answered a lady the other day who's 2 year old got into her rolaids. Everyone else was saying horrible things to her, like go watch your kid or something. Some of the people who answer these questions aren't even parents or have any knowledge of the subject at all! I explained to her that it had happened to my child too and she would be fine and I was sure she was a good mother. The way I see it, if you can't say something nice, don't say it at all! Good question hun. Though I do have to admit, sometimes the dumb answers make me laugh. Good luck!

I guess it just makes some people feel smarter trying to show that they know more than some anonymous person on the Internet. I don't care about getting best answer or about points. I just want my answers to be informative or entertaining without being mean.

Answering a lot of the time for procrastination actually... but I'm with you on wanting the 10 points. I wouldn't want to harass someone. If I disagree with them, I'll try to respectfully offer my differing opinion in a way to which I hope they will be responsive, rather than attacking them and then of course they won't pick me as best answer.

Well this is supposed to be educational and all but, I guess I have no anger on my fingers toward your question. Answering people’s stupid question… it’s just so fun sometime I just get carry on and loss my cool. But, anyway your participation is very important regardless how obtuse your question is and that’s what counts. Be easy and be happy…

you get a total of 12 if you are chosen the best. and it's not message board type of atmosphere where you can get answers and refereneces. it's not necessarily a bunch of people saying PICK ME PICK ME for best answers.
but I truly want you to pick me........jokes.
