i think if you truly are opposites - the initial spark will give way to the pair of you having nothing in common
if you are too similar then you will find that you are both constantly in one another's space and that will cause too much friction
perhaps the answer is to have someone who shares some things in common with you but not everything - and to live and let live on those things.

Yes we are opposite but we have the same values and we are interested in some of the same things. You can't be totally different or you won't have anything to talk about.

it does ...but keep it simple,,so u don't find both of you miles apart..I enjoy outdoors while wife enjoys indoors but in the end of the day, we meet and have a good time.
