Yes he will survive, he is the chairman of one of the largest unions in the UK...this means he is pretty safe as Blair can not afford to alienate him. Not that it really matters, we have already seem how the labour goverment is quite happy to cling onto 'chums' irrespective of what they have done or do.

Referring to the comment of Maggy lovers getting back in....this goverment has privatised more, eroded our freedom, tax us to the hilt - destroyed the NHS, Education System and law and order, while pooring tax payers money into bottomless pits...its policy on immigration has led to London being the hub of terrorist activities in france and germany and foreign crime syndicates in london, as well as a drain on the NHS, and social services...which labour is only now back-tracking on, when the tories raised this issue they were branded as racist...funny how labour is now trying to close the door after the horse has bolted, the lack of new prisons were crisitised by the tories, and low and behold, labour are letting out prisoners and trying to find ways of reducing prisoners because they don't have space.

This goverment is more fascist than Maggie ever was...the only difference is that it is happy to lie through its teeth to an impotent media and clearly too much of this country still believes their lies without taking a serious look at what is happening around them.

I think one of the biggest problems has been weak opposition and weaker media that have pandered to the labour goverment followed closely by the labour voters that must be embarrassed by how whole heartedly they have been duped.

Unfortunately not, John Prescott is one of a dying breed of Socialists, he has blotted his copy book far too many times now to survive ! I don't ever recall that I ever thought of Blair as a Socialist.
I suppose the choice is really just between Labour and Conservatives, and who is really less corrupt?
I would not like to see a bunch of Maggie lovers take over at any cost!
As a simple sort of feller, politics have always been simple to me, Labour is supported by the Trade union movement, the aim of the Trade unions is to represent the workers of the UK, (whether you think are doing a good job or not isn't really important)!
The Conservatives are supported by the Confederation of British Industry who represent big Business which is out to make profit from you and I, they are not there to employ you and I , if they could operate without having to pay us they would!
The other little 'tree hugging' groups and racist groups are completely irrelevant at this stage of the game.
Yes Prescott will soon have to go, Blair will soon have to go, then the people will soon have to vote again , I can only hope their are enough people that remember Maggie's condescending mob actually being in power! My day was really made when her own mob kicked her out, for being dictatorial ,I relish the memory!
Hope this helps??

Mad John took the words right out of my mouth. I cannot believe that Prescott's clung on this long. He might or might not have it in him to be a good politician but he's messed it up beyond redemption now. He's kind of hard to like, really. And why can't these guys just keep their trousers on? First and foremost, because they have made a solemn vow to their wife and, less crucially but just as noteworthy, they ALWAYS get found out! DUH! If a politician can't keep the vows they made to their loved one then why should they do what they promised to ME?

No. :) I saw him once in Euston stn. He was surrounded by flunkies and looked small but well-polished. I remember thinking how he wasn't really that fat in real life - he's short too. I just think he is the dictionary definition of sell-out. And with all the other stuff on top of it, he's stuffed really.
