A couple months ago Stewart had a guest who was a Canadian citizen on his show. He was an author, and he had a book, but I don't remember the guy's name or the title of the book. I remember the cover was red with an electrocution chair on it, and the guy made some jokes about applying for US citizenship. Like how they ask if you were a procurer (Procure my ride...) and if you were in the nazi party.

Anybody know the author or the title??
Thanks!

Wow. Such vitriol from the first person to answer. (Presumably you will need help with the big word, since you really haven't honed your debating skills).
Anyway, I remember the show, but I don't remember the name of the guest or the book. But I bet if you e-mail the show, they will be glad to help.
By the way, I honestly believe that Jon Stewart provides some of the best political analysis couched in satire that is available today (And I'm not gay...).

Good grief. According to the first response, I'm a lesbian trapped inside a male heterosexual's body !!!

Now just what country would I go to for the operation to fix this??? It'll have to be some place that includes free biker tatoos with the slice 'n dice procedure....

Anyway, do you mean this:

"Blood and Volts Edison, Tesla and the Electric Chair" by T. Metzger

This one shows an electric chair with a red border.

Or this:

"The Electric Chair" by Craig Brandon

This one is all red with just the title on the cover.

These books are about 10 years old, so I don't know if either is the one you want. Give it a try, anyway.

sorry, can't help you on the specific question, but just wanted to add that i grew up around guys like jon stewart. we were all quite amusing, or so we thought. we had "fast synapses", and would try to, in effect, outdo each other with amazingly riveting verbal flights of "creativity and brilliance". it was fun and some of the material was very amusing. and the practice helped us later on for "thinking on your feet" type situations. (women, however, didn't find us nearly as captivating as we found ourselves, alas. the word "immature" often sprang to their lips in this regard). the point of this "rant"? it's very helpful to have people like him around to help soften the horrors we are all currently experiencing on the planet. and, as has been often pointed out, the "court jester" gets to reveal the unpleasant truths, couched in humorous terms, which sad truths might otherwise remain hidden.

I can't help you, although I tried all sorts of searches on Yahoo and Google with the clues you gave. I can remember the episode, which means this entire thing very frustrating. If I do think of it, I will reply to this question ASAP!
