At the download page, you have the option of taking 7.5, and while it's with voice, it is also a stable platform.
I use it, it works.

they're the same thing. Y! IM with voice is the standard messenger with the inclusion of voice capability. just download it and don't use the voice part....

during installation, choose custom install and u can install it without the voice facility..
