I suggest you some sites based on best performance experienced

1. http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=40.689574~-74.044779&style=o&lvl=1&scene=1915478&pkw=satellite_photo

allow areal or road tracking, they say it is online. allow zoom upto 1.5 miles

2. http://terraserver-usa.com

found images are digitally zoomed not that clear and only for usa

3.http://maps.google.com/

somewhat good quality images but don't think upto date. Zooming is digitall not optical

4.http://earth.google.com/

have to download the S/W (11.3 MB)for view. the free version has a lot of limitations
