You read so much about the great white shark being a fearsome predator but how would it fare against orca, the killer whale?

Orcas. They have been observed killing these sharks. The whales are bigger - up to 30 feet while most killer whales are around 15 with the largest about 19 feet, and they are much more intelligent. If one of these sharks even gets close the whales would go after it. The only way it would have a chance at a whale is if a young calf somehow got separated from it's pod.

there used to be a video fairly easy to find - YouTube has it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcsSSxNuUiI&search=sal

The Killer Whale isn't dangerous at all, it just looks that way. The Great White would kill it. The only reason people think that Orca's are dangerous is because they have historically carried people to low parts of the ocean by accident.

Sperm Whales. They kill giant squids!

White shark is single predator. It has sensors all around. Smell, electric, movement. they have good vision and are prerared to control blood loss .... and so on.

Orca are strong and massive but they are not a killertool instead. They are well succeded pretador's cooperative team

The killer whale is quite a misnomer. You see te killer whale only attacks when provoked while the Great White attacks when feeding.

Orca is in fact a member of the dolphin family.
Don't know the statistics on attacks, but orcas usually travel in pods and size for size, unless injured or sick would think they would win in a fight.

killer whales eat sharks for dessert. Don't you know that? There's an advantage in numbers here.
