There are many many good places to live in southern California. Affordability is usually the issue. Since you are a Yahoo user, why not try:

http://realestate.yahoo.com/

You can also try Craigslist at:

http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html

Another option is to try this site run by e-bay:

http://www.rent.com/

Exploring these sources should give you some ideas of where you might like to live.

Good luck with your search.

Mexico... just kidding.

I don't like traffic and big crowds, so I would probably move north past Santa Barbara into Santa Maria where is not so hot inland where the property is not so darn expensive.

Mission Viejo is a wonderful, relatively small clean town. It has great weather and easy roads to get around.
