After two wears. By then they start to get the wear wrinkles. Wahign more will only make them fall apart quicker. Buy 4-5 pairs that you will wear a lot and wash them all once on the weekend. Should last you a long time.

As often as they need washing! Jeans should stand up to endless amounts of laundering, and only improve with repeated washings. The fabric softens, and the fit eases.
