if you are pregnant already then there could be issues there, but if not, then maybe you're just ovulating? if you are at about day 14 (or so) in your cycle sometimes you can feel slight cramping on either side and that is when you can tell you're ovulating. if it's chronic pain, then it's not ovulation pains. see a doc.

It could be Ovarian Cysts. They will cause pain around the time you are due to start and then usually the pain will subside once you start because they will break with your flow. Which sounds more like your case being that it happened a month ago as well.
However, if you are sexually active and your period was much lighter than normal, or the pain is getting worse, I would make an appointment with your GYN. to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. Do not take a home pregnancy test because many times ectopics will not show up as positive.
Good Luck!

Did your period have ANY bright red blood at all? If not, you were just spotting and are probably pregnant. The pain in your fallopian tube COULD be a tubal pregnancy, which happens when the egg gets inseminated in the tube and it anchors itself there. Take an in-home test, and if positive, go see your doctor right away. If the test is negative, the pain could be from ovulation, when the egg is traveling down the fallopian tube. Sometimes you can feel this happening...

I get a pain when I am ovulating. It almost feels like a pinching or stabbing sensation.
It could also be your endometrial lining starting to separate from your uterus when you are about to start your period.
If it was an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, it wouldn't have hurt a month ago, stopped, and then came back. Those just get worse and worse instead of pain starting and stopping.
If you are still going through puberty, a lot of things could be going on that are normal. You didn't state your age, though.

It could be a cyst. I'd suggest getting checked by a doctor. Cysts can cause irregular periods and you'll feel some pain when they burst.

Get to a doctor right away. It sounds like you may have a tubal pregnancy. This is a potentially life threatening condition. Go to the doctor right away.

Well, you could be pregnant and have a tubal pregnancy. Or you could have a cyst of some type. Not to sound stupid, but have you thought it may also be gas pain. Seriously...
