i need to know the area of a rectangle. The length is (3x-2) and the width is 3. I know that the formula for finding the area is length times width, but I can't seem to figure it out... can someone help me?

3*(3x-2)=9x-6

Been a while but I think thats it.

Just multiply the length by width :

(3x-2) * 3 = 9x-6

Therefore the answer is (9x-6) square units.

A = 3 * (3x - 2)
A = 9x - 6

What are you supposed to solve for? Did you include the whole problem statement?

3(3x-2) or if you distribute 9x-6

L x W = Area
3(3x-2)=Area
9x-6=Area
See this is the area.

Until u have other variable X in ur 2nd equation u cant find value of X.
