How old is your baby? Any particular reason you're looking for the soft spot?
How your baby with your hand over his heart and feel his pulse. If you watch his head, you may actually be able to see the pulse in his soft spot.

My first question is: why is it so important to find it? My second is: how old is your baby?
The "soft spot" you are looking for should be right on top of the head. Depending on the age and size of your baby, it may only be about the size of a quarter or slightly bigger. If I were you, and your baby doesn't have any problems, I think I'd just leave it alone.

Every parent and yes even DADS need to know all the parts on their babys.
To find your babys soft spot lay your finger at the top of his/her forehead pointing toward the top of his/her head.
You should find it before you get to the top of the head.
It's not a very big spot about the size of a dime or just a hair bigger.
And can be hard to find, especially if the baby has a lot of hair.

Leave the soft spot alone! Don't touch it! Why would you want to know where it is?! Sometimes babies lose their soft spot pretty early, so if your baby is a few months old then he or she might not have one anymore. The bones could've grown together by now. Again, LEAVE IT ALONE.. geez.

The softspot should be at the very top, just before the head starts going back. When a child is born their head is just a series of plates and the upper middle part is the last to fill in, you should be able to feel a pulse in it. Touch the tip of their ear and go to the middle part and it should be there. Good luck buddy.

The soft spot should be between the frontal and parietal bone of the cranium. It should appear to have some movement like the beat of your heart.

It's not by his forhead it's on the top toward the back of his head. You will see a pulse and it will be slightly sunken in depending on how old the child is. If you lightly graze his head you should feel it but don't push on it!

You do not need to "find it", in fact you should not touch it! It is the place where the baby's skull has not joined and the brain is not protected. Leave that child's head alone!
