I'm a guy, I was in my late twenties when I got my ear pierced. Went to the mall and just paced back and forth in front of the ear piercing place. A mom showed up with 5 little girls aged between 5 and 10 years old. They all lined up and one after the other got both ears pierced and without a whimper! Hey, if a 5 year old little girl can do it! So can I! I did, and theres nothing to it.
P.S. Thanks to the girls that gave me the courage.

I got my ears pierced when I was 3 months old and my mom said I didn't even cry. They closed up so I got them pierced again just recently and it's a little pinch then pain goes away after like 3 three seconds unless of coarse they get infected which you can prevent by just keeping your holes clean but don't you think if a 3 month old could do it, a 23 year old could do it? I think so!!
And why did your avatar have hoop earings on? Some fantasy to make up for your fear I suppose.

It doesn't hurt. That is if you go to a prefessional. The ones that don't hurt are the ones that ha this gun that sticks something through your ear. ( I know that sounds scary but the people are trained) And you might want to ask the other customers how the performance was. The most pain you will probaly feel is an amount of pressure or a short, quick amount of pain. Or like a tiny pinch.

But you HAVE to follow the directions in cleaning it or the earring will stick to your ear (almost happened to my cousin)

It is kind of a sharp burning pain right at first, then it just stings after that for a bit. If your ear gets infected, it feels warm, and hurts.

I personally don't have mine peirced, after many infections from several different peircings (my mom did them at 6 weeks old, then again at 2 years, then again at 8 years, then I got them done for my 14th birthday, and reopened the holes myself at 16 & 19, and was never able to find earrings that didn't infect my ears- some people just are not meant for peircings).

I got mine done when I was ten. They use a gun so the scariest part is the loud noise right by your ear. It's over before you feel it. It hurts for a few days but it feels more like a bruise. When you rotate the earrings, it kind of feels like a sunburn. No major pain. Go for it!

It doesn't hurt at all if you get it done by a professional. If you try to do it yourself at home it may bleed and be off centered and get infected. A lot of girls get their ears peirced as early as age 3. Guys often do at age 12 or so. It feels kind of like being pinched.

I got mine pierced when I was about 1 or 2 months old so I obviously don't remember. But all my friends who got it later on have told me that it doesn't hurt at all, it feels like a little pinch but that's about it. It's no big deal, just be careful you don't get it infected because that will hurt.

It hurts a little, sort of feel a shot with a needle, but combined with a "pinching" feeling. Its really quick and the pain goes away very quickly. Just make sure to keep applying some antibiotic ointment to it daily and keep it clean with rubbing alcohol.

It hardly hurts at all to get them pierced. It hurts a little the next couple of days when you have to keep moving the earring in the hole so the ear "flesh" does not stick on it, trying to close the hole.

It hurts for about 20 minutes or so, when it is first done. After that, mine only hurt at bedtime. Sometimes my hair would get stuck in the studs, or catch on the sheets. Also, be careful when getting dressed, not to get your shirt caught in them. Clean them as directed, it makes a big difference in healing time.
