My goodness..why is everyone thinking that protestors are terrorists???

These are just protestors who bothered to buy air tickets just to come to Singapore, how uncivilised can they be???

In order for a protest to get really out of hand, you need a considerable size to start something violent.

Why not just let them come? It's something new for us and we can take a few precautions and things should be just fine. Moreover its good news coverage, our country is so in need of refreshing situations...We always lose out to the Middle East in terms of world-class news.

Some ideas of mine :
1) Make the protestors stand in the sun/rain, in our kind of climate..its impossible that they can "tahan" longer than 3hrs. After that, give them Spa discounts...more business for our local industry.
2) Provide some entertainment beside them, its unlikely that Singaporeans will join in the protest anyway... make it into a carnival and everyone can have fun!! When people have fun, why bother be a troublemaker?
3) Oh dont forget to set up a "pasar malam" as well, we might end up earning a few bucks from them...extra income from tourism..afterall the airtickets aren't going cheap for them. They might as well make the trip worthwhile. Who says Idealism can't go side by side with capitalism?

It is unlikely that the protesters can do much harm in Singapore.
The laws in Singapore are very strict. Singapore am sure is very well prepared to handle the forthcoming event. Firstly, the leaders of the protesters are known and they will not be allowed to land in Singapore. If they do get on board the airplane, the airlines will have to bear the cost if they are refused admission into Singapore. If the other protesters manage to get through the tight immigration, they cant do much still as the security will be very tight. I think the government wont hesitate to prosecute anyone who breaks the law. There is no choice but to maintain peace. The voilent protesters should be prosecuted, caned and jailed. The mesage must be sent to them to stay out of trouble!

Yes I'm sure they will cause problems. They'll probably get tear gassed like they usually do to a mob.

One day, you will remember those people and worship them... if you really think globalization will do good to anyone of you... well, stupidity can be also a sin.
Would wish to see you, getting what you believe to want...
