If you are serious about it, download a version of Latex. This is a markup language which you then compile. It's very powerful and ultimately much easier to write in than menu-driven editors, though it takes some getting used to. It's available free under the GPL.

My suggestion is similar to the above poster. If you have access to a Linux machine you probably have it. Otherwise you're going to have to instal Latex.

www.ctan.org

Has many helpful articles on getting started. If you're on Windows, I know for a fact you'll need either cygwin (large barrel of ferocious monkeys for those who have little experience with it) or miktex.

After that look up "The Not So Short Introduction To Latex" which if googled should be the first or second entry. It will give you a good start on how to use Latex expecially with math and physics.

I can also answer more specific questions if necessary.

you may choose to look at actual Crypt. Years in the past there develop into PGP which the U. S. Governemtn couldn't destroy and so it banned it for a lengthy time period. you're waiting to discover that because it makes use of your key to encrypt messages, records.

____ Equation Editor. I can't think of the first word, but if you search equation editor it should do the trick. I think it saves as a picture and you copy that into Word.
