Steinbrainer--great nickname!
I don't think owners resign and I doubt he'll sell the team plus he won't fire the whole team.
The Big Unit is finished but A-Rod is not really a choke artist. It's just NYY fans are incredibly impatient with the 2005 MVP. Other players have gone through such slumps even the best of them (go look up Yogi Berra's World Series hitting woes year after year till he got over it).
Relax. You've won more than enough WS titles to last a lifetime. This ain't the '80s yet.

Lets face it, the Yankees will not miss the playoffs this year for many reasons. First, they are only going to get better with Cano, Dotel, Matsui, Sheffield, and Pavano coming back down the stretch. Also, they are not bad to begin with, as they are leading the Wild
Card, and are about an hour away from being 1/2 game back in the East. Bobby Abreu and Cory Lidle are not going to hurt them either. The Yankees are going to play better with these players coming, and the White Sox, Twins, or Red Sox, do not have that many changes in store for them in August and September. I really do believe that it's a no-brainier that the Yankees will at least make the playoffs.

hello all u idiot yankee fans who say that abreu is ur ticket to the playoffs i have one thing to say to u. YOU STILL HAVNT LEARNED YET HAVE U U FRICKEN IDIOTS. Buyin players who are old and past there prime is not wat wins championships and that isnt how u won ur other 26. Abreu is DONE and he is not gunna help them one bit liddle was much more important in that trade than abreu was. If u make the playoffs it will be because of young guyz and guyz who u didnt buy like wang and lidle and jeter and mo and posada not b/c of johnson or arod or abreu or shef or giambi or matsui or damon ( the flamer who gets with jeter and arod every night) now gettin bak to the question i think stienbrener will sh** his pants wen the yanks dont make the playoffs and i hope they broadcast it oin the ****** @ss yes network while michael cay gets off to it

Pretty sure it wasn't the "washed out players" that hurt them this year, it was the hurt players. I'm sure he'll take a look at the past and work for a better next year by leaving this year behind.
GO YANKS!!!

More than likely Stienbreener will get rid of Torres the coach and a few of those high paid players. which could be just about every one except the bat boy.
