I am a registered Green Party Voter and there are several reasons to vote "Green." The first and most important one is because the Green Party supports enviornmental conservation to keep it healthy for many generations to come, the same cannot be said about the Democrats or the Republicans. Another good reason is because many, not all, Green Party affiliates support the peoples point of view on taxes, as opposed to that of the major corporations. They believe in the equal and fair distribution of taxes, and lowering them for those who cannot afford the harshness of them, and making the Corporate giants pay there fair share, in which they very rarely do.
Although, we are in a bicamerical society, so a third party will never be elected. The only way to achieve true democracy, "Green Democracy" would be to reinvent our government.

The dissolution of the Democratic Party would be a good reason to vote Green since it is the next most viable party. Otherwise your Green vote won't make a difference in the end. (Other than a symbolic statement that no one cares about)

You should bote for a 3rd or 4th or 5th party candidate simply for the reason that you agree with their ideology. We have been duped into the idea that there is only two choices in American politics, and that rather than vote for the best candidate, we simply vote for the lesser of two evils. All that the Republicans and the Democrats do anymore is waste our time and tax money sniping at each other across the aisle. My personal idea is until we see political candidates step up that have such things as ethics, values, and belief in our country and a true desire to help their constituency, not just themselves and the Daddy Warbucks that finance their campaign machines, that we all just stay home and don't vote. If the political parties in this country cannot bring forth decent, solid human beings to represent us, then F*** them.

Another reason would be to get more diversity in American election debates. I don't particularly like what the Green Party stands for, but I would like to see them included more in the national dialog. If they get enough votes, the media and event organizers will have to take the Green Party seriously.
Same with the Libertarian Party and Constitution Party.

They finally got a legitimate candidate.
Now, when is that going to happen? I don't know.
