13 april 2036, apophis should pass by earth. i'm not sure how close nasa expects it to get, but nasa does expect it to get within a fraction of the earth moon distance.

Yes, we heard, and no, it will not impact Earth. It is again one of those miss-quotes and hoax that go around on the internet.

There may be undiscovered asterodis that could impact Earth by that time, but none of the presently identified ones is likely to impact Earth within the next 31 years.
