I would tell her that we are adults and that if she wants to have a meaningful conversation with me then refrain from raising her voice. I would explain that we can communicate in a positive way no matter what the circumstances are. Just like you bosses have to be taught how to deal with people. Just because someone is in that position does not mean ever word that comes out of their mouth is right. When you develop a real working relationship with someone and yes your boss does qualify, you both will learn from each other daily. She needs to know where the boundaries are as you do, and by communicating your dislike for her method of communication you are helping the communication corridor strengthen. Bottom line each of you need to communicate and who knows her being able to raise her voice once in a while may not bother you in the future. Learn her communication style, help her develop it and she should do the same for you.

It would depend on the total circumstances of the event. Much more description would be needed in your question in order to come even close to a suitable answer. And even then, no guantees I suppose.

I reported mine to HR and then got fired two days later for being a "trouble maker". That was two months ago. She got fired Friday for the same thing she did to me and they offered me my job back.
