I honestly think that Finding Nemo is the best disney movie to come in within the last decade that can pair up to the success of Aladdin and Beauy and the Beast. Where have the good movies gone?

That's a good-old-fashioned "maybe". A few of Disney's animated films, such as "Mulan," have been treasures for both the eyes and ears, while others such as "Treasure Planet" have been absolute stinkers. They haven't fared nearly as well in the computer-animated department - "The Wild" was basically a rip-off of "Madagascar".

Keep in mind that movies like "Finding Nemo," "Toy Story" and "The Incredibles" were actually produced by Pixar - which is now an arm of Walt Disney, but was its own independent company at the time. So I'm choosing to not include those in the discussion.

The biggest problem with Disney right now is that they're cheapening the legacy of their classics with some of these direct-to-video sequels - I mean, c'mon, did we REALLY need "Bambi II"?

Nope....they haven't.

1. Finding Nemo wasn't done by Disney...it was done by a company called Pixar...which until this year was a seperate identity.

2. The good movies went down the tube because Disney lost the art of storytelling.

I like the older Disney channel better. I think the newer Disney movies are more for the adults than for the children anymore.

The new Disney movies are great, amazing computerized animations, good ideas too. But they haven't gotten better really: they simply reflect a different time.

You've listed cartoons.
I truly believe Walt Disney films
are fantastic, with all the latest
technology and modern equipment
to work with. They still strive to be
one the best in their field.
Can't go wrong with any of their
movies.

I don't know but my 11 year old has decided not to watch Disney movies anymore.

She asked me what they had against mothers and fathers because they are always killing them off.
