I didn't go into the finals rooting for either team. I just wanted to see some good basketball. But I think the officiating was so in favor of the Heat that it gave them an unfair advantage. I'd say its because Mavs owner Mark Cuban is always so critical of the refs.

i dont think so. there were a lot of bad calls in that final series but were called on both sides... they tried to magnify the bad calls against the mavs, but anybody who thinks like that is either a dallas fan or a schizophrenic... the bottom-line is this is a dead issue and the heat are champs and nobody can do anything about it...

Maybe. However, the Mavs should have beaten the Heat 4-0 regardless of the refs, but collapsed after game 3. How do you come that close to a title by having a 2-0 lead and a 13 point lead in the 4th quarter of game 3 of the finals and fail to win a championship? Mark Cuban was the one who turned the refs against the Mavs in the first place with his constant whining.

No. Dwayne Wade had the Mavericks in his pocket. Although I can't stand the refs in basketball because fouls are subjective, the refs looked like they were making lopsided called because Mark Cuban was being critical about it. I didn't root for either team, but the Heat won because of Wade, not refs.

Was there one game where the announcers didn't mention how Dwayne Wade had shot as many foul shots as Dallas

He's good, but he's not that good. If anything, the refs shouldn't have let him get away with that because it seems like when anyone gets on a real run, refs watch closer and give you less calls

Or maybe it just applies to centers. Everybody agrees we're needed but they don't necessarily have to like that fact

the officials did made some bad calls, but you can't blame it on the officials. Mavericks are the ones that blew it. Even in game 3 they were up by 13 and with like 5 minutes and they blew it. Mavericks choked. Dallas shouldn't have any excuses. They had game 6 and game 7 at home with everybody with stackhouse. They started off good in game 6, but they callapsed jus like how they did in game 3. I guess when the mavericks are up by alot they get to cocky and end up losing.

Maybe Dallas had a few calls go against them. The players and the coach allowed Mark Cuban to disrupt their focus. Usually the calls even out. Also when you shoot jump shoots all the time you don't get fouls called in your favor there in lies the discrepancy in fouls called.

almost everybody outside of miami thinks dallas was ripped off. the nba just wanted a new superstar since MJ is gone. and i still dont understand how the flagrant foul stackhouse made needed a player suspension in the FINALS! making the mavs look like idiots and choke artists on national tv.

after this year's finals i definately think the nba is rigged.....it was all about shaq winning his 4th ring and wade bringing his team to the promise land and doing it in dramatic fashion......no flippin way does the mavericks lose 4 in a row. think real hard....the superstars always win and thats how it got played out.
