It is likely the sign of a serious condition. It could be caused by many things. Your ears are sort of pressurized like the inside of an airplane. Popping abd bleeding are never a good thing. Go to a doctor, or at least look it up on Webmd.com

I had that happen to me and I went to the doctor and I was told that it was called Swimmers ear. Contrary to its name you can get it from just showering or washing your hair. If you go to the doctors when you first experience ear pain they can give you something but other than that its pretty well over with.
