If you are sure that you had miscarriage it is very possible that you will stil have the positive pregnancy test. Sometimes it takes a while for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin or HCG (a hormone produced by the placenta which makes the pregnancy test positive) levels to go back to zero, so it is possible to get a positive HORMONAL PREGNANCY TEST from a miscarriage for a month or more after a loss. If HCG levels were followed back to zero, then a positive test should indicate a new pregnancy.

I've heard of females who had triumphant pregnancies with low hcg stages. However, it does sound such as you had a miscarriage, with the soreness and the clots. But the truth that your hcg stages are going up is a thriller. It is NOT too early to do an ultrasound and in case your health care provider advised you that, you ought to uncover a brand new one. The best manner they are going to uncover out what is quite happening is to provide you an ultrasound. Best needs.

Wow - this must be terribly scary for you! I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble. I went thru the same thing ... Even if you miscarried, your tests will still show positive until all signs of pregnancy have left your body. Your best bet is to have your doctor monitor your blood - if the numbers keep going down, chances are you did miscarry - vaginal ultrasound will confirm as well.

Why do you think you had a misscarriage? I bled a little bit like a light period at about 8 weeks and baby was fine. It happens sometimes. You could misscarry and still get a positive result for a couple of days. Where you cramping a whole lot more than a bad period? Was it extremely heavy and clots like the size of quarters? If so, then maybe.

Even if you miscarry, a pregnancy test can still come back positive for 6 weeks. It takes that long for all of the hormone to filter out of your system.

If you think you misacarried you need to see the doctor. There is also the chance that you are bleeding for other reasons, and you still need to see the doctor about those.
Best wishes

Bless your heart, try and be patient at an impossible time. If you did miscarry, it takes a while for the hcg to get out of your system, so you could have had a false positive.

But, you could still be pregnant. You need to see a doc, so they can check the hcg levels over several days, to see if they are rising (!) or falling.

Trust mother nature (easier said than done).

If you had a miscarriage then the HPT would still come out postive! Go to a doctor ASAP!

if you JUSt miscarried your hormones are still going to show a false positive since it takes time for those hormones to go away... if this is something that is just happening go to the hospital and have it checked out .. you should mess with a situation like this you could potentially save the pregnancy and yourself :)

Go to your doctor and have an ultra sound. It's the only real way to find out and be 100% sure about it.

Good luck.
