Me and my friends were enjoying TV when suddenly we noticed a HUMONGUS UGLY BUG!! We found it in NJ and is about the size of a half dollar. It really grabbed onto the blanket when we tryed to vaccum it up and it didn't move much. Here is a link for a picture of it...

Please help me with my dilemma... thank you so much! We are really creeped out and hate to find out if there are more of these.

Doesn't look like anything I've ever seen. Show the picture to an entomologist(bug expert). Try to find one a a University or the coopertive extension service.

Like someone else said, the picture is kind of fuzzy. However you have two choices as to what kind of bug it is. It may be a bumblebee, but it is most likely a carpenter bee. In the United States, there is one common eastern species, Xylocopa virginica, and three other species that are western in distribution ([1]). Some are often mistaken for a bumblebee species, as they can be similar in size and coloring, though most carpenter bees have a shiny abdomen, while in bumblebees the abdomen is completely clothed with dense hair. So, was your bee shiny or hairy. I can't really tell in the picture.

It looks like a giant bumble bee. The picture is kinda fuzzy tho. Could be a beetle. Yuck.

If this can be a beetle, it's typically a potato beetle. They are particularly ordinary in America and feature special darkish and light brown stripes stripes. If you already know what form of computer virus it's, what state or nation it's in, or every other understanding I is also in a position to support extra.

it looks like the bees that burrow in the ground under my deck, and they chase my jack russell when she nips at them. i'm in middlesex cty in nj. i had an exterminator spray for them.. it worked last year and i havent seen them back the biggest one i saw was 2 1/2" long

omg =/ thats gross..i feel sooo sorry for you..you should go get the exterminators and you were brave enuf to take a picture of the thing! lol i would just run away and let my brave enuf friend to throw it away..ehhh..just looking at it makes a weird feeling in my stomach..but yea..call the exterminators.
