I was recently hired, along with 5 other girls and 1 guy, as a Cashier at my local grocery store. During our Cashier training classes, I was really struggling for some reason. I couldn't grasp anything, i'd completely forget what the teacher had taught us, everything seemed so confusing, and I would do everthing wrong during demonstrations, etc, etc. On the other hand, all the other new hires were catching on quickly and were doing everything quite well. When time came for my first day of work, I just went completely blank, I forgot everything we were taught (or what little I could remember), and everything was just going completely wrong, while the new hires were doing fine and making little to no mistakes. I wasn't nervous or scared. Could I have a simple learning disablity????

we all have to be passionate about our work. it is my firm belief that you do not have a learning disability, but rather, a lack of love for your job, you may be a right-brain thinker, meaning you focus more on your creative side, as opposed to the technical side. find the work which you will love, and you are bound to excel in it. good luck.

Possibly, but it's also possible that you learn things differently. Maybe you need to read what you need to learn, but they only gave you visuals. Or something like that. Try writing down things as you learn them, so you can refer to them later if you get stuck.

You probably do, because cash registers are the easiest job. It's like a big calculator. And if it's a new one, all you do is scan your items.

Maybe you should go to your docter and ask him when you could get an ADD or ADHD test. That could be the problem!
