Moving from CA to TX. Purchasing a new home that won't be available until 9-22. If I am required to be at new job 9-1, where do I live for the 22-30 days before my new home is ready? My wife works from home and will require a high speed internet connection during that time. Also have two kids (5&8). If renting an apartment is the answer, will utility companies waive the set-up fees on the second move? Trying to limit expenses...

Your new company should pay for your housing until your house is ready.

Residence Inns are always consistent and they are pretty nice.

If the company won't pay for your temporary housing, the apartment options are extremely expensive. They are furnished and have all utilities, including high speed. They require a minimum 30 day stay. I'm not sure what is in TX, but Korman Suites, Metric and Oakwood are nationwide.

Long-stay hotel room, like Candlewood Suites. Full kitchen, high-speed internet, etc. The rooms are pretty good size, and it's only for 3 weeks.
