my boy friend is in iraq and he has been there for 6 months. i love him i think. we have dated for a little over one year do i love him or is it just a fling. i think of him every day and night i pray that he is doing ok when i can't get a hold of him. when we get to talk on line we talk until he has to go to work or i have to go to school normal we talk for no less than 5 hours at a time. i wish i could see him every day but his job wont let me so i live with it. he is older than me and if my mom found out how much i would not be allowed to see him. he doesn't know that i havent' told them his true age. but he wont' stand for it.. he tells me if they say something he will just tell them that he has fallin for me. and won't let me go. please help

yes, how old are you and how old is this guy?? if they wont let you be with him now, then just be friends for a while. if he really loved you, he would say ok, not see anyone, and just go with it for a while. then maybe he could come around and your parents could meet him more and talk to him. then once (and if) they say hes a good guy, then you can tell them that you really like him and want it to be more.

The age difference isn't very big, you only have a few months. until you don't have to worry what your mom thinks. Maybe you are in love, take it easy, so you mom doesn't catch on. Lay low for the rest of the year and protect your heart!

Communication is the absolute most important part of a relationship. He must be your best friend if you can find things to talk about all the time over five hours at a time. Do you really think that he would judge you if you told him your concerns about telling your mom and explaining to him why you were not honest with him (because you care about his opinion but hate for it to mess everything up 'cause you care about him so much).... and why you had to tell him now is because it is driving you nuts not being honest with him. Maybe he will understand how trival a couple of months is and he will agree with you. Heck it's already been a year now. Good luck

Well, nothing will change from now till you turn 21, so just continue your relationship... Besides, in the 20 or 30's event the 50's women used to marry men 10 years older than them... Nowdays, If you were 10 I will be worried...
Just take it easy, one thing at a time, if the time to tell your mother the truth comes you are the one who has to talk to them. But before that just enjoy the moment. It must be difficult for both to be separated this way... And it is such another thing when you are with your love all the time... it is different than talking on the phone,no matter how much time you spend on the phone.
So just take your time.. and enjoy your age.
