They've done all the ones already. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre, Bonnie and Clyde, The Titanic, Gone With The Wind, The 10 Commandments, Apollo 13 . . . The Flintstones

Y2K. The public thinks the potential catastrophe turned out to be bogus. Actually, the situation was horribly dire, and there were heroes who literally rescued us with incredible genius and determination. Find out Rubik's role at the end. An amazing story. Also. in 2003 in the Netherlands, some lab tech, probably working all alone on a weekend testing samples for bird flu, had one of the most incredible moments in his life. One of the samples popped up as an H7 bird flu, a monster virus that could have wiped out most of humanity in a couple of weeks. Can you just imagine what that moment must have been like? I do. That poor kid must have pushed every code red button in the place! It's also interesting, that around that time, about half of the Netherlands burned down in forest and grass fires.

the cuban missle crisis has already been done. the movie 13 Days, with Kevin Costner, in 2001. not outstanding, but not terrible, and the actor playing Bobby Kennedy is just terriffic.
personally, I'd like to see a movie about General Grant, and his rise to respect and power, particularly his attack at Vicksburg during the American Civil War.

Not sure if it's been done yet..but I'd like to see a movie about the personal experiences of the bombing of London during WWII...you hear about it and it's been briefly been mentioned in other WWII movies but no one has done one specifically on that
My other pick would be the building of the Great Wall of China

I would like to see a remake of The Great Escape, the movie that Paul Newman was in along with an allstar cast, that memorialised actual events in WWII

Great question! I'd personally like to see what Hollywood could do with the greatest hoax in history! You know, the one where America says to be the first country to land on the moon? Yeah, that one.

The story of Queen Boudicca.
After the conquest of Britain by the Roman Emperor Claudius, her husband dies. The Romans came in, raped her two daughters, and whip her nearly to death. Fueled by revenge she unites the British kings and leads an army that destroys all of the Roman cities (including London) and defeats Roman legions. One last Roman legion (badly outnumbered to Boudicca's mob of around 230,000) defeats her, leaving Britain Roman.

The Battle of Tours/Poitiers. This battle, more than any other, determined the fate of western civilization. If the film was accurate, it would give everyone a sense of just how close western thought came to being utterly eliminated.

A really, really really good biography of Diana Spencer, former Princess of Wales, including birth, marriage, birth of her sons and her death and funeral, and the unexpected outpouring of grief at her death, I believe hundreds of years from now Prince Charles will mostly known as her husband and a footnote and she will become like Guinevere, or the Lady of the Lake, or even Bodecia, in English history it seem the women have more kahunas then men
