Doctors usually say between 33-35 weeks depending on the size of the baby.

That is a good question! I am 34 weeks and my baby is now head down. I hope she will stay this way. But she has been breech for awhile. my last appt was on Friday and they said she was head down. So I would think somewhere around the last few weeks of your pregnancy.

Any time after mid-twenties. However, just because they go head-down, they don't always stay there. My last one settled in nicely until about 32 weeks, then turned breech for a few weeks. She turned before birth, thankfully. Really, though, any time. And the norm is if they are head-down by 32, the'll usually stay.

It depends on a bunch of factors, including the size. My first son was large and went head down around 35 weeks and never budged. My daughter was still moving around the day of the c-section.

my second daughter was breech, i was scheduled for a c-section., which i did'nt want. Then the night before, she turned around and was head down and i went into labor myself. THANK GOD! I WAS ALSO 1 WEEK AND 1 DAY OVERDUE. Funny thing was that night she turned, it looked like i had an alien in my stomach the way she moved, like she was flip flopping around.

as I remember it was around 32-34 weeks - but as with everything with pregnancy it's different for everyone -

I thought it would be super uncomfortable having her turn herself around in my body - but I didn't even know it had happened, the Dr told me - "Well she's ready, her head's right there" (and then he tapped a place and I almost peed on the table!!!) sorry too much information

Whenever it wants to. Some babies are still changing positions right up until labor starts!
