I work in an hotel for almost 6 years and just found out that all the mold in the building could be harmful. The owners of this hotel has been aware of the mold this whole time. Is this illegal on their part.

OSHA is the agency you will need to contact. Unfortunately, many states do not have laws to make this illegal. Check on the OSHA website.

Yes, if you can prove they have known about it and its hazards.

It is against OSHA to allow employees to work in hazardous conditions that could cause serious injury or death. If the mold is the kind that could kill you if inhaled enough, you could have a good case.

If you are concerned, call OSHA and report it. They will send out an inspector right away and investigate the allegations. Good luck!!

At the very least, they are violating health codes. The hotel will probably be shut down if the health department finds out. OSHA would probably have a big problem with it, too.

Contact OSHA - but just so you know - they will not be shut down - OSHA will give them a time frame to have it all cleaned up - normally months to years
