I just saw the ad, and I was disgusted by it. They're trying to make money from that horrible tragedy. The ad had a voiceover reading some disgusting, sentimental platitudes about how the disaster brought us all together and taught us how good people can be.

No, of course I won't go to see it. I hope no one does, so that the producers lose all of the money they spent on it.

I think the whole concept of a movie about 9/11 is an abomination. Yes, I know it happened but I do not expect to be entertained by it..Yes. You can be guaranteed that I will not pay to go a see it.....Here it comes ---America's continual obsession with being entertained by people's suffering...from the Oklahoma city bombing to OJ Simpson to everything else...it's all entertainment...how sad!

I agree it looks terrible, and I for one refuse to see it. It's already been done, I don't know if you've seen the movie "The 25th Hour" with Edward Norton but it has a much more tasteful depiction of 9/11. The movie is set in NY and the world trade center is not the central focus in the story, but the presence surrounding the events is there you can feel it in the movie and it's very powerful, Spike Lee rocks!

Horrible

The reason I think that is because it only happened in 2001, so everyone alive already knows about it (except for kids that are 5 and under, who really don't care anyway). It would be a good movie in like 20 years, because then it would be a good informative movie about what really happened, to people who weren't alive at the time. Like Saving Private Ryan is to us because we don't know much about the World Wars. That movie showed what happened there, and that is what they are good for.
This movie that they are putting out now IS all about the money and that's sad.

They've been making holocaust ,vietam, and slavery films for the longest, and theyve never tried to wait until an appropriate time.Tose events were tragedies also, but they are apart of history, and films have always been and always will be a primary form of history documentation. The thing about tragedies is that they never cease to effect people. It's not logical to assume that it would hurt or effect people lessi f they bring out the movie later.

I was also disgusted by it. I saw it as a preview to a movie I saw in the theater, and couldn't believe it. I just think it's way too soon. But maybe some good will come out of it. Who knows.

whats the problem of making a movie on the wtc? Its not any different than making a movie over the tradegy of the titanic, world war I and II , and The Vietnam war. I would go to see it. Horrific events almost always made into a movie.

They never need to make a movie like this. If we want to teach future generations about what happened on 9/11, WE CAN SHOW THEM ACTUAL FOOTAGE!

Every news station in the world, and many amateur videos were taken, so we can see the actual events, and not a "touching story of bravery". F Hollywood

ok well first of all, its an oliver stone movie, so who knows how its really gonna be...his movies are in my opinon, questionable...but im not gonna lie, i cried the first time i saw the ad...its not even really about the whole world trade center, it focuses on 2 specific firefighters that risked their lives to save others...who knows, people say its too soon, but you have to think about it, how soon is too soon? it has been 5 years. i mean, it is a sensitive subject, and always will be.

Wasn't there a documentary on the event that was on the Discovery channel a few years ago? The movie looks like the same thing almost.
