Psychic power does exist in some sense. There are things that people pick up on without prior knowledge: foreshadowing or the use of instincts can be used by non-psychics, as well.
As far as instincts, John Edward does not sit well with me. I have seen and heard about psychics that could be more specific in detail with the lives of people that they had just met on the street.
It is all in the details. If a psychic is ambiguous in their fortune telling (ie. John Edward) and are performing in a manipulated setting like their own studio, I would have to wonder if they are table tippers -or shams.

John Edward is a fraud.
I'm sorry to have to say it, but it is the truth. What he does is have people placed in the audience talk to the victim, or listen to what they are talking about. These people report what they have heard and John Edward then claims that a deceased relative was speaking through him. Its' absolutely horrible to prey on people as he does, and make money on others troubles.
Now, that is not to say I do not believe in ghosts. I very much believe in spirits and such, and to think they may want to speak to the living makes perfect sense if they have last minute things they need to do before moving on to the next step. And I think that relatives of people will hang around to keep an eye on the future generations, to ensure the bloodline continues on.

I have watched his show a few times and it does seem like he is truly communicating with these people's dead relatives and friends.
I just cannot believe that is real until I experience something like that for myself.
I have read too many accounts of people like John Edwards who have researches in the back of the audience hall with laptop computers researching audience members for the show. They usually all have ear pieces and pick people from the audience who they can find information about.
It is amazing the level of information you can find about people with the proper equipment.
It is very compelling and I would like to think it is real and possible, but nothing in my own life has made a believer out of me yet.

John Edwards can only talk to dead voters. In the old days, that would have at least won Illinois. I fear for his chances in the primaries if he is getting confused with John Edward. Too bad for both, really.

Sorry guys, I'm firmly entrenched in the Judeo-Christian belief, and the Bible states categorically that we cannot speak with the dead. The dead are like the sleeping, there is no perception of time passing. On judgement day they will all be awakened and face the judgement along with the living. They don't walk among us, look over us, or exist on other planes, at least not as we can conceive.

I "invented" that the 21 grams that everybody loses after death it is beacuse the brain has some kind of signal receptor like a movil signal receptor, but works witha a very delicate signal so we haven't discover it yet and this signal is the one that gives life to the humans and maybe the animals (if you remember everything in the universe is matter also energy and that's the 21 grams everybody talks about) so i dont think that we can talk to death (besides remember that money is money and people has always a way to cheat (im not saying that everyone is like that)

John Edwards is using a talent for reading people, their reactions, and their wants which has been around for hundreds of years and used in side shows throughout history. Think about it, anyone who purchases tickets in advance provides enough personal information for a simple internet based search to turn up countless hits, and therefore facts. It's a scam that preys upon peoples needs to believe their loved ones are safe and aware somewhere else. People react in a predictable way because they WANT to decipher what he says into something meaningful. If he says "blue hat" one of his "clients" will think back and recall that their loved one did, indeed, once wear a blue hat and they will provide him with a reaction which he can then use to make another step forward. It's simple manipulation of another humans desire for comfort.

The man is a Fraud.
Some people believe in vampires, space aliens and honest politicians. All the believing in the world won't make something true that is not true.
Be kind to those you love while they're here on Earth. Don't waste your love on a sad cruel joke by a man lacking a heart.

No way, frankly I find him irritating, and the bible states clearly that the "dead know nothing", further being dead is likened to being asleep.....so I really don't think people are watching over us, it is a nice thought though.....but back to John, he makes a living off peoples vulnerability and desire to believe, it is very sad, and in poor taste.

I was amused to no end that the Democratic Senator from North Carolina did a psychic routine in front of a jury to try to win a multi-million dollar malpractice suit. I figured it was something in the name.
