Yahoo's answer: "To encourage participation and reward great answers, Yahoo! Answers has a system of points and levels. The number of points you get depends on the specific action you take. The points table below summarizes the point values for different actions. While you can't use points to buy or redeem anything, they do allow everyone to recognize how active and helpful you've been. (And they give you another excuse to brag to your friends.)" (http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_system)

My (Big D's) answer: The bigger your score, the more pathetic you are and you probably have WAY too much free time on your hands! Try picking up a hobby or go watch reruns of COPS on CourtTV or something!

Hi Haseebsana,
After you get enough points to show you care to get more, Yahoo will suspend your privilege for violating the community guidelines.
If you have Flash installed and enabled on your machine, the Email notice they send to you will include a funny cartoon showing the Y!A mascot (Yamster) defrocking the points from your avatar. Then, you get stripped down almost nude and receive a caning from the affectionate furry Yamster. The show ends fading to black along with the words, “Thanks for playing.” Then you have to establish another ID if you want to play Yahoo Answers again.
