It means you're pregnant and the fetus is in the uterus, where it belongs, as opposed to the fallopian tube or somewhere else, which would be BAD!!!

It is strange I know - but I've seen the diagnosis : IUP which stands for Intrauterine pregnancy. You would think that all pregnancies are IUP but an ectopic pregnancy is one in which the fertilized egg does not make it to the fallopian tube and instead implants in the fallopian tube. As the fetus grows the tube can rupture and is a life threatening condition for mom.
