Don't hate her for moving. Be happy for her if she's moving to make her life better. But, having a friend move is almost like having a friend die. it's hard and you go through the same emotional steps as if she had died.

Not much to do but give it time and keep in touch with her. It will get better.

Interesting it sounds more like you are 12 and she is 22. And you use the word"hate" ???????? wow strong feelings.
You are not the only person on the planet who's friend has moved away. It will hurt and you will miss her and you will make new friends and you will surrive. Change is just a part of life.

When I was 17 and my best friend was 16, my parents moved me to California. From Chicago. Well, over the years she is still one of my best friends. she is on the east coast and I am on the west coast. We have managed to see each other now and then over the long years. And we talk on the phone, send cards and chat on Yahoo Personals.
You will definatly will surrive. You will definatly miss her, But she has her life and you have yours.
Hang in there. Treasure the good time you had. And find ways to keep in touch.

If you are truly her best friend, you will be happy for her and wish her well. You can stay in contact through e-mail, cards, and visits. It's ok to be sad, but don't make her feel guilty for making a change in her life. After her depature, fill up your sadness and hurt by doing some volunteer work. We need good people out here in this world of ours!

Unfortunately, it is just part of life. Losing your best friend is very hard. I can not say that you will ever get over the deep hurt and huge sense of loss. I hope that you and yor friend will be able to keep in touch. I hope that you will be able to do so.

She's your best friend. you can't hate her forever.

Once she's gone, you're going to have to meet new people to be friends with.

And, just BECAUSE she's gone doesn't mean that your relationship with her is over. You can still call, write, and possibly see each other, depending on the distance.
