I am just sorta getting into lucid dreaming and I was just curious as to what everyone elses experiences with Lucid dreams are. And for those who dont know what a Lucid Dream is, it is a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming and can control your dream

I had a dream that I was having sex with Al Pacino in his character role in Devil's Advocate (yeah he was "The Big Guy Downstairs"). Right in the middle of it I thought, oh man, this is sooo wrong! And yet all the sensations were so real, the taste, the feel on the skin and the wave of pleasure you get when you are doing it. It was so real.

I said in my dream, thank god this is just a dream, i'm not really having pre-marital sex. I'm not really having pre-marital sex...(in the dream I was just 15 and still in high school) Then I woke up.

I dunno what Freud will say about that. LOL

I have seen very vivid events and I am unable to classify them either as Lucid Dreams or previous life experiences.
At least one such vision is surely a previous life experience coming from around 8th century AD, in which I was a priest.
Another is coming from around 1923(?) in which my girl friend died saving my life in a war(?).
One of my such dreams 'continued' the next day from where it left the previous day!

I have seen about a dozen such visions.
I have been doing meditation since 1986 and I watch my breathing and perform vipassana, a Buddhist meditation.
I found the books written by Dr. Brian Weiss quite good.
But I have not been a researcher as such though I would like to know the connectivities from previous lives to at least understand the anomalies I have been seeing in my present life.
If any one can take this further from which I can learn more ... thanks indeed!
Of course, I am keeping a margin that all this could be trash thrown out by the inner datawarehouse of the mind in unconcious/subconscious or idle state !

Ive only had 2 lucid dreams, both of which I realized I was in a dream and then started to fly. My first flying dream, I started flying and got entangled in the power lines above me, at which point I woke up. The second time was also a very breif flight, but it was still fun.

Once I was having a dream. I was running from someone who wanted to kill me. I realized I was dreaming, so I tried to wake up. I grabbed my eyelids and tried to pry them open. I "woke up" and realized I was still dreaming, and heard a voice say "it didn't work!" and it had an evil laugh. I just kept trying until I finally woke up. Many other times, I've realized I was dreaming (while running from someone/something) and start to fly, instead of trying to wake up.
